吴嘉颖，出身于委内瑞拉的一个华裔家庭，自由包容的家庭教育方式，形成了她独立自主、无拘无束和乐于追求新鲜感的性格。在语言文学与新闻传播学之间架起了一座桥梁。她不仅在学术上取得了卓越成绩，更通过积极参与社会实践和国际交流，展现了她作为文化使者的领导力和影响力。她的故事是全球化背景下个人成长与文化交融的生动写照。
Kerry Wu Fang born in a Chinese family in Venezuela, has a liberal and tolerant family upbringing that has shaped her character to be independent, uninhibited and willing to pursue freshness. She bridges the gap between language and literature and journalism and communication. She has not only achieved academic excellence, but also demonstrated her leadership and influence as a cultural ambassador through her active participation in social practice and international exchange. Her story is a vivid portrayal of personal growth and cultural integration in the context of globalisation.

·多元文化背景铸就广阔视野·
吴嘉颖，来自委内瑞拉，现攻读上海交通大学新闻传播学硕士学位。在复旦大学攻读完法语文学本科专业的她，领略到中法文化之间的独特和异同，选择追求跨文化传播领域的旅途。从小涉足多国语言，包括中文、粤语、英语和西语，她的成长背景为她提供了独特的视野，跨越了语言、文化和学科的界限。在多元文化的环境中，她从小便培养出对不同语言和文化的敏锐洞察力，而这一切为她在上海的学习与生活奠定了坚实的基础。
She is originally from Venezuela, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Journalism and Communication at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. After completing her undergraduate degree in French Literature at Fudan University, she chose to pursue a journey in the field of cross-cultural communication after appreciating the uniqueness and similarities between Chinese and French cultures. Growing up dabbling in multiple languages, including Chinese, Cantonese, English and Spanish, her upbringing has provided her with a unique perspective that crosses linguistic, cultural and disciplinary boundaries. In a multicultural environment, she developed a keen eye for different languages and cultures from an early age, and this has provided her with a solid foundation for her studies and life in Shanghai.

· 从语言文学到传播学的跨越·
吴嘉颖的学术成就可圈可点，尤其是在跨学科的背景下，她从法文领域中探索，将自己在法语语言文学领域积累的语言能力，完美地转化为新闻传播学领域的优势。在上海交通大学的学习机会之下，不断汲取关于传播学的知识，除了认真完成课程之外，还阅读大量中、英、法文的文献，还自主学历数据分析软件和编程语言。她通过不懈的努力，最终课程获得优异的成绩，同时还连续三年获得了校级奖学金。她并不满足于课程之内的学习，还在学术竞赛中获得了多个奖项，她在学术研究中不断深化对传播学理论的理解，探索创新的传播方式。她曾在第九届中国国际互联网+创新创业大赛全国赛区获得银奖，是“一路一播”留学生公益组织项目的创始人之一，并以此作为留学生讲好中国故事向外传播的新起点。在社会实践上，她代表学院参加校园运动会，也在2022年ICA国际会议中担任志愿者的工作。在学术上不仅体现了个人学术能力，在实践上更是锻炼了协调沟通、创新和解决问题的能力。
Her academic achievements are remarkable, especially in the interdisciplinary context. She explores from the field of French, and perfectly translates her linguistic skills accumulated in the field of French language and literature into the field of journalism and communication. With the opportunity to study at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, she continued to draw knowledge about communication, reading a lot of literature in Chinese, English and French in addition to taking the courses seriously, and also educating herself on data analysis software and programming language. Through her unremitting efforts, she was able to obtain excellent grades in the courses and was also awarded the university scholarship for three consecutive years. She is not satisfied with the study within the course, but also won several awards in academic competitions, and she continues to deepen her understanding of communication theories and explore innovative communication methods in her academic research. She won the silver medal in the 9th China International Internet+ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and is one of the founders of ‘One Road, One Broadcast’, an international student public welfare organisation project, which serves as a new starting point for international students to tell China's story well and spread it abroad. In terms of social practice, she represented the college to participate in the campus games, and also served as a volunteer in the 2022 ICA International Conference. She has not only demonstrated her personal academic ability in academics, but also honed her coordination and communication, innovation and problem-solving skills in practice.

· 从快消行业到互联网，
探索未来方向·
为了更好地理解和应用自己的学术知识，吴嘉颖在校期间积极参与社会实践，尤其在快消品行业与互联网行业的实习中，积累了宝贵的工作经验。通过这些实习，她不仅了解了市场传播和品牌推广的实际需求，还学会了如何在快速变化的互联网时代中进行有效的传播策略设计。通过这些经历，见证了中国互联网行业的快速发展，她更加明确了自己未来的职业方向，即将跨文化传播与数字化媒体相结合，推动全球化的文化沟通。
In order to better understand and apply her academic knowledge, she actively participated in social practice during her school years, especially in internships in the FMCG industry and the Internet industry, where she gained valuable work experience. Through these internships, she not only understood the practical needs of marketing communications and branding, but also learnt how to design effective communication strategies in the fast-changing Internet era. Through these experiences and witnessing the rapid development of China's Internet industry, she has become clearer about her future career direction, which is to combine cross-cultural communication with digital media to promote globalised cultural communication.

· 在快节奏世界中寻找个人平衡·
在充满压力的学术追求和职业发展中，她总是在“躺平”与“内卷”之间寻找自己的立足点，试图在追逐梦想与保持心态平和之间寻得一个均衡点。她认识到，每个人的生活轨迹和节奏都是独特的，没有统一的评判标准，最重要的是找到适合自己的生活方式。无论是全力以赴地追求卓越，还是选择在适当的时候放慢脚步，她总是根据自己的感受，做出最适合自己的决策。面对挑战和压力，倾听内心的声音，她通过调整自己的心态，寻找到生活的平衡点，恢复内心的平静，活出了最“松弛”的自我。
In the pressure-filled academic pursuit and career development, she is always looking for her own foothold between ‘lying flat’ and ‘curling up’, trying to find a balance between pursuing her dreams and maintaining peace of mind. She recognises that everyone's life trajectory and rhythm is unique, there is no uniform standard of judgement, and the most important thing is to find a way of life that suits you. Whether she goes all out in pursuit of excellence or chooses to slow down when the time is right, she always makes decisions based on what she feels is best for her. In the face of challenges and pressures, she listens to her inner voice, and by adjusting her mindset, she finds a balance in her life, restores her inner peace, and lives out her most ‘relaxed’ self.
